New Stanton Borough has an all-volunteer Recreation Board comprised of 9 members, 5 of the members are required to live in the Borough the other 4 can be non-residents.
The Recreation Board sponsors a girls softball and boys baseball team, for children aged 3 through 18. Home games are played at the fields at beautiful New Stanton Park. The games also feature a concession stand which includes normal baseball cuisine and also an array of homemade food choices. Registration for the baseball and softball begins each year in February.
The Recreation Board also holds various other activities for children and residents of the Borough, like an Easter Egg Hunt, a Halloween Parade, a Christmas Party and picnic for the children that is held in conjunction with Annual Borough Picnic. In addition a “night at the races” is also held at New Stanton Fire Hall every January.
